Tips on Photographing Computer Screens Darken room so there are no camera/tripod reflections in screen. Use large monitor like 17inch or larger. Use highres high color mode. 640x480 won't cut it. If you have any gamma correction, use it. Otherwise, put a warming filter on the lens if you can't color correct for final use. Use a medium tele like 100 to keep barrel distortion low. Use shutter speed slower than 1/30. I prefer 1/15. Adjust the contrast of the screen to be lower contrast than normal. Otherwise the highlights will burn out. Meter like you would anything else. Except you might get some flickering on the scale in an OM-2s, 3t, or 4t. Watch your framing: The Olympus viewfinder is NOT a 100% coverage viewfinder. Use a test roll to determine exactly what is happening with your camera (each is slightly different). Otherwise the computer screen bezel will intrude into the picture. If you meter off the screen, be sure to do so in a darkened room. Thanks to: Ken Norton "Thomas H. Hogan"
